Let’s start with Captain Justin, I called this guy at 9pm at night or somewhere close to that time. Captain Justin answered the phone with cheer in his heart, I heard it, he said he didn’t have room on his boat, but told me let me call this other Captain, cause it is the last day for kings tomorrow. To my surprise he did call me back, he told me that Captain Thao would be more then happy to get us out there and we would be able to meet up with him at 6:30 am, I was excited and agreed to the trip, spending time with my son is always a priority. The conversation went so well with Captain Justin, we forgot to exchange names and do the deposit, we took care of that and my son and I prepared for a fishing trip. The next day, we met Captain Thao at the docks, we had no idea we were meeting a friend, family member for life. Thao from the stray fit right in with my son, his friend and I, like no other. We talked laughed like we knew each other for years. We forgot sometimes that we were paying for a fishing trip, hell I did care if I caught a fish at one point, I enjoyed my time with the three young men on this boat. I enjoyed seeing the man my son had become, I enjoyed seeing my son’s friend talk about graduating from UW and becoming a Doctor and enjoyed meeting a new fishing friend Thao. I felt blessed and proud to be there. By the end of the trip, we caught 6-7 Flounder, my son got 1 black mouth King, the day was one I will never forget. This is a company that treasure people, I respect them from hello to I well see you soon. GOOD PEOPLE MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE.

I've been on a few charters and this one was definitely 12/10. We went out for lingcod and Justin took us to a bunch of great spots with a lot of activity. He knows his way around the Sound. We caught quite a few and had a blast even though we only found one keeper. He made the whole trip so much fun the entire time, even with us only taking one fish home at the correct size. The experience was excellent. Whether you're an experienced fisher or beginner, his team will guide you and make it great! I caught a giant that was way too heavy for me to hold so he held it for my photo. Will be scheduling more trips with Cut Plug Charter and Justin for sure.

We had the best fishing experience today! Thao put us on the fish, was very knowledgeable, very attentive and took care of everything……all we had to do was enjoy our beautiful surroundings and catch fish….we will definitely be back!

Had a great time out on the water today. We booked kind of last minute but communication was great and everything went smooth. Didn't have any luck today but still had a great time out on the water with Captain Thao. He showed us the ropes and we will definitely come out again with Cut Plug for our next fishing trip.

Captain Justin kept an eye on the weather and reached out a few days ahead of our reserved day and asked if we could be flexible with the date. Weather was going to kick up on the day we reserved. We decided to go a day early, he flexed and moved a boat from Seattle to Tacoma to accommodate the change. It was a beautiful fall day. We were chasing winter king salmon but it proved to be too early. Justin moved around to get us on fish but the fish just weren’t interested. We did catch some starry flounder so ended up with fish in the freezer. I’ll be back for the spring king run for sure.

Awesome day fishing with Justin! Our 4th annual family fishing trip and it did not disappoint! 8 salmon on board 2x 12+lb Kings released due to last minute season closure but worth the tight lines! Highly recommend Cut Plug Charters they are next level and put you on the fish. Patient with the young kiddos also!

Went out with Justin and Aiden and they were both total rockstar’s. Justin had an awesome attitude and was very helpful and was by far the best fishing guide we have experienced. My girlfriend and I went on the morning charter for King Salmon. Took home 3 coho and a King! Captain Thao was amazing. He was super on top of everything and provided us with the maximum amount of fishing time because he was so efficient and experienced. Gonna book a private charter with Captain Thao next time.

Captain Justin is the expert for mooching salmon in Puget Sound. I prefer mooching over trolling because you are actively fishing holding the rod. When looking for a guide you want someone that come out every day so that they know where the migratary fishes are. Make sure you reach out early enough as the slots gets filled up in salmon season quickly.

This was hands down the most enjoyable charter I've ever been on. Justin is a real pro and knows his stuff when it comes to mooching for salmon. My party of 6 caught our limit in just 2 hours. Justin did a great job of coaching and then cleaning the fish. He even recommended a great place for lunch and a good place to get the fillets packed and frozen for our trip back to PA. I highly recommend Justin. You'll have a great time.

We recently booked a trip with Cut Plug and had an excellent time, we were immediately on kings and caught a good number of fish. mooching is a fun, easy-to-lean but still technical, and most importantly active style of fishing. The conversation was excellent more importantly silence wasn't awkward. Cannot recommend Cut Plug highly enough.
